PURPOSE:To constantly supply a required quantity of a liquid ink and prevent the ink from dripping, by a construction wherein a recording electrode is so provided that it can be moved toward and away from a counter electrode, and the recording electrode is formed of a conductive ink-impregnable material. CONSTITUTION:The recording electrode 26 opposed to the counter electrode 14 is fitted to the other end of an armature 23. The electrode 26 per se is impregnable with an ink, and a sufficient quantity of an ink 27 is supplied to a tip part thereof. Since the ink 27 is held by the electrode 26, it will not drip. Prior to printing, a solenoid 41 is energized, whereby a movable core 42 is moved leftward. As a result, a printing head 10 pushes and turns a cap 38, whereby the tip part 32 of the electrodes 26 is opened. After printing is over, the solenoid 41 is deenergized, the head 10 is returned by the force of a tension spring 37, and the cap 38 covers the tip part 32 of the electrode 26 under the force of a tension spring 40, thereby effectively preventing the ink 27 from being dried at non-use time. |
