PURPOSE:To enable the operator to clearly foresee the time to replace an ink ribbon cassette, by placing two-color-inks in an ink-storing part so that the ink color is changed at the time to replace the ink cassette. CONSTITUTION:An ink-A (a) having a specific gravity higher than that of an ink-B (b) is placed as a lower layer in the ink-storing part 5, and the ink-B (b) is placed as an upper layer in the part 5. When a ribbon-driving roller 3 is rotated in the direction of arrow C by a ribbon-driving shaft of a printer, it cooperates with a pressure roller to feed an ink ribbon 2 in the direction of arrow D. In this case, the ink-A (a) is applied to the outer periphery of the roller 3 through an ink-applying member 5a, so that the ink-A is transferred from the roller 3 to the ink ribbon 2. Thereafter, the operation is sequentially repeated, and the ink-A in the part 5 is completely used, after which the ink-B (b) is applied to the ribbon 2. At this moment, the operator can know that it is the time to replace the ink cassette. |
