The invention relates to a winding device, in particular for the tension-free winding up of (quartz glass) optical waveguides on a (plastic) bobbin. The latter is mounted rotatably between two bearing blocks and is centrally clamped. By this means high winding rates are possible cost-effectively and with vibration-free running of the device.
