A seal for parts which can be displaced axially relative to one another, preferably cylindrical parts, by means of a flexible, elastically deformable seal element which rolls between the wall sides of the displaceable parts is to be improved in such a way that displacement of the parts relative to one another can be carried out with as little as possible frictional force. For this purpose, the use of one or more torroidal sealing rings as the seal element is envisaged.
