PURPOSE:To eliminate a printing position error, by providing a means for variably adjusting the mount position of either one of a magnetic linear scale and a magnetic resistance effect element to a predetermined direction. CONSTITUTION:The MR element F opposed to a magnetic linear scale 10 is arranged to a chassis base in a fixed state by a MR element mount body 30 which is formed of the block 31 supporting the Si substrate of the MR element F or a glass substrate, a coil spring 32, an adjusting screw 33 and a housing 34. A thread is provided to a hole 34a and a knob 35 is mounted to an outside part 33a. When an error is generated in a printing position, the screw 33 is rotated to shift the block 31 to an A- or A'-direction and the mount position of the MR element F is adjusted. Because the error of a relative mount position in manufacturing or mounting can be corrected by this adjustment if generated, the shift of an actual printing position from a preset printing position can be eliminated. |
