Automatic mechanism for testing long length yarn - has yarn guide passage with transporting air nozzle and break detector and pref. tension sensor

The mechanism is intended for testing long lenths of weaving yarn automatically. It comprises a yarn feed unit (1) and a yarn tensioning unit (3) arranged at opposite ends of a yarn guide passage (2) in which a fluid flow is produced (air nozzle 20 in the direction of yarn movement, and a yarn break detector (4 or possibly 21) which is arranged in the yarn path downstream of the feed unit. A yarn tension sensor (26) is pref. arranged between the units.
