PURPOSE:To melt a chip not chipped nor broken at a track to a slider simply in a short time by packing glass to a slot crossing with a slot specifying a track width, clipping the magnetic head to the slider and melting the glass again. CONSTITUTION:Cores 3, 1 having a slot 2 are molten, the slot 4 specifying the track width is processed, after the low melting point glass is molten and packed, the slot 2 is polished and removed and sliced to obtain a head chip 5. The chip 5 is inserted to a slot 7 of the slider 6 made of a nonmagnetic material, the glass 8 in the slot 4 is molten again to melt them incorporatedly. Thus, the glass is packed simply to the slot 4 specifying the track width to prevent the chip or break of the track which is molten simply in a short time with the slider 6 so as to improve the performance of work and the cost is reduced with high yield.
