<p>The invention relates to a device for adjusting a valve stem for steam irons. In this device for raising and lowering the stem 7 of the drop-by-drop valve of a steam iron comprising an adjusting disc 9 which is actuable from outside the iron and on the axle of which is fastened a cam lever 11 connected to the stem 7 of the valve which is permanently subjected to the action of a spring 16 by means of a retaining plate 12, the surface of the retaining plate 12 facing the cam lever 11 comprises at least one snap-in groove which is made with a sawtooth shape and which can be brought into active co-operation with the cam lever 11. The invention is used particularly for steam irons in which the water conveyed to the evaporation chamber is adjustable. <IMAGE></p> |
