<p>Rheumatoid factors are removed from blood or blood plasma by absorption on an immunosorbent in the form of a matrix of a porous material to which monomeric native or modified IgG is coupled. The matrix employed is preferably an open gel with an exclusion molecular weight exceeding 106 kD, preferably exceeding 107 kD, in particular an agarose gel. When using such an immunosorbent the content of rheumatoid factors in blood from patients with rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune diseases can be reduced to normal plasma level.</p> |
