PURPOSE:To expand the service function by providing a means, which monitors whether a reception confirmation signal which should be answered back from the called side for transmission of a phase signal is answered back or not, to make redialing possible even in case of transmission in the MF mode. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 4 is provided with a communication control means 41 which performs various communication controls of a line 5, a reading and recording control means 42 which controls operations of a read scanning part 1 and a recording scanning part 2, a CFR detecting means 43 which detects whether a reception confirmation signal CFR which should be answered back form the called side for the transmission operation in the MF mode is answered back or nor, a recall control means 44 which calls the called side again an accordance with the detection result or the means 43. It is discriminated whether the signal CFR which should be answered back for transmission of the phase signal is answered back or not, and the called side is regarded as busy to call the called side again after a certain time if the signal CFR is not answered back. Thus, redialing is possible in case of transmission of the MF mode similarly to a conventional G2 mode.
