PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noises, and to reduce the accidents of disconnections by constituting a conductor film onto a ferromagnetic thin-film electrode section for a magnetoresistance element through wet type plating. CONSTITUTION:A ferromagnetic thin-film 12 is formed onto a substrate 11 through a predetermined means, and the ferromagnetic thin-film 12 is shaped through etching according to a prescribed pattern such as a pattern in which electrode sections 12b for four magnetoresistance elements are all connected mutually in a common electrode section 12c on the outsides of the elements, thus forming a group of magnetoresistance elements. The surfaces of sections except the electrode sections 12b, 12c - that is, at least magnetic sensitive sections 12a for the magnetoresistance elements - are coated with an insulating material, such as SiO2, a photo-resist material or the like, thus shaping protective films 13. The substrate 11 on which the protective films 13 are formed is dipped into a plating bath, and electroplating films 14 in predetermined thickness are shaped onto the surfaces of the electrode sections 12b through electroplating while using the substrate 11 as a cathode and a conductive metallic bar 15 as an anode. Electroplating work is completed, the substrate 11 is pulled out of the plating bath, and the substrate 11 is cut at the positions of dot-dot-dash lines, thus acquiring the magnetoresistance elements.
