PURPOSE:To detect the titled reaction automatically and exactly, by feeding a molten metal into vessel in which a spheroidizing agent composed of alloy contg. at least Fe, Si, Mg is arranged, and detecting vibration of said vessel. CONSTITUTION:In a partition part 12 formed at bottom part of a ladle 10, at first, the spheroidizing agent 13 composed of alloy contg. at least Fe, Si, Mg is fed, a cover member 15 composed of about 10mm many iron grains is covered thereon, then the molten metal 25 is fed. Said member 15 is melted almost simultaneously with completing tapping to the ladle 10, Mg contained in the agent 13 is boiled to generate bubbles, and spheroidizing reaction is caused. Vibration of the ladle 10 due to said boiling is detected by a vibration detector 18 fixed to circumferential surface of the ladle 10 through an attaching part 16, processed and recorded by a processor 20. If said spheroidizing reaction is completed and boiling is stopped, this is detected by the detector 18, to detect the reaction automatically and exactly.
