PURPOSE:To damp the vibration effectively by arranging an electromagnet while adjoining to the magnetic fluid in a cylinder then varying the field of electromagnet thus varying the viscosity of the magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic fluid 25 is contained in the cylinder 22 of magnetic fluid damper 1 while a plurality of electromagnets 26 are arranged on the outercircumference of the cylinder 22. Voltage variable with correspondence to the engine rotation is applied across the electromagnet 26 to vary the viscos ity of the magnetic fluid 25. Consequently, desired damping can be achieved with correspondence to the engine rotation or the operating speed of the operat ing section. |
