A bracing clamp comprises a metal band (2) which is bent in the form of a ring and is guided by one free end in a bracing closure means which comprises a housing (6) which is connected to the other metal-band end and in which a bracing screw is guided in the longitudinal direction of the band, having a driver (8) which is connected to the bracing screw (7) via a thread. The driver (8) and the bracing screw (7) are guided and mounted within the housing (6) such that the driver (8) is connected in a frictionally locking and/or positively locking manner to the metal band (2), guided between it and the housing (6), when the bracing screw (7) is tightened. <IMAGE>
