PURPOSE:The titled composition is composed of a combination of an alpha- glucosidase inhibitor and a nonpathogenic lactic acid-producing microorganism. CONSTITUTION:An appropriate combination of an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor such as variolamine derivative of the formula (A is hydroxyl, phenoxy, thienyl, furyl, pyridyl) such as N-phenethylvariolamine and a nonpathogenic lactic acid- producing bacterium such as Lactobacillus acidophilus L. Salivaius give the objective saccharide-digestion inhibitor. The dose of the alpha-glucosidase inhibitor is 0.05-500 mg/man/administration, preferably 1.0-50 mg/human/administration 2-4 portions everyday 1 hour before - 2 hours after meal. The dose of the lactic acid-producing bacterium is 10<13>-10<12> cells/human/administration, preferably 10<5>-10<10> cells/human/administration, 2-4 portions everyday 1 hour before - 2 hours after meal. |
