PURPOSE:To obtain a stable and inexpensive piezoelectric vibrator with an excellent characteristic by fixing a support having a support part and a spring in its inside and made of a plate to both end faces of a tubular case and supporting a rectangular piezoelectric plate to end faces of the support part of the support plate while fixing the surface of the piezoelectric plate to the end face. CONSTITUTION:The support plates 4, 4' made of a plate and having the support part 6 and the spring 5 in its inside are fixed to both end faces of the tubular case 1 and the rectangular piezoelectric plate 7 is supported to the end face of the support part 6 of the plates 4, 4' while fixing the surface to the end face. For example, the support plates 4, 4' having the T-shaped spring 5 and the support part 6 in its inside are fixed to the end face of the tubular case 1 whose cross section is circular and made of an insulator while the support parts 6 are opposed by soldering with solder or silver solder, bonding with a conductive adhesives or silver paradium conductor paste. Thus, since the vicinity of the end face of the rectangular piezoelectric vibrator chip with less vibration is supported, the piezoelectric vibrator with a low CI and excellent characteristic is obtained. Since the spring is provided to the support plate to fix the rectangular piezoelectric vibrator chip, the oscillating frequency is not fluctuated and the stable piezoelectric vibrator is obtained.
