PURPOSE:To make a product light-weighed and to increase productivity by arranging the brazing filler metal of low fusing point on the combined part of a hollow cam piece and shaft, then by combining the cam piece and shaft together with the chilling with remelting of the cam face. CONSTITUTION:A hollow hole 2b is formed on the cam piece 2 consisting of a sintered alloy, etc. and a hollow part 4b is formed as well on a shaft 4. The brazing filler metal 5 of low melting point is provided on the combined part, where the cam piece 2 and shaft 4 are engaged. A hardened layer 2a is then formed by a chilling at the solidification time with the remelting of the cam face of the cam piece 2 by the torch 6 for TIG welding after adequate-heating. In this case, the cam piece 2 and shaft 4 are metallurgically combined with the fusion of the brazing filler metal 5 by the heat of the remelting. The product is made light-weighed by hollowing and the productivity is increased by the curtailment in machining, etc.
