PURPOSE:To attain the satisfactory record editing at the tape termination part so as to prevent such a case where the music is suddenly erased in the course of a reproduction mode, by supplying a fade-out command to a reproduction means after detecting that the residual of the 2nd recording medium is less than a prescribed amount. CONSTITUTION:The tape quantity data delivered from a cassette deck 21 is fetched after the sound recording action of the deck is started. Then it is detected by the fetched tape quantity data that a head reaches a sound record enable area. Thus both a start command and a fade-in command are sent to a player 1. Then the tape quantity data delivered from the deck 21 is fetched again for detection that the tape residual time is smaller than the time T1. Thus a fade-out command is sent to the player 1. Then both the pause mode and reverse track commands are sent to the player 1 after the time T1.
