PURPOSE:To provide a wire storing device in simple construction with excellency in reliability and less requirement for maintenance by tracting a truck, which includes a wire receipt roller and is movable on a rail between a fixed shieve and movable shieve, with a traction wire connected with the movable sheave, and by placing in a position effective for slack prevention of the wire. CONSTITUTION:Immediately before wire storing is commenced, in which a fixed sheave 1, trucks 4, 5 and a movable sheave 2 are positioned close to each other, the movable sheave 2 moves apart from the fixed sheave 1 to actuate wire storing. Then the trucks 4, 5 with wire receipt rollers 7, 8 are automatically tracted through traction wires 9, 10 to cause movement to a position where the wire 6 is free from generation of excessive slack. Thus the trucks 4, 5 are placed in a position effective for preventing the wire 6 from slacking at all times, wherein said position lies between the fixed sheave 1 and movable sheave 2. Thus the wire 6 can be prevented from slack or outer damage caused thereby an from elongation caused by excessive tension, which should lead to reduction of the load capacity required to drive the movable sheave. |
