PURPOSE:To prevent the boost force from being increased to a limit and improve the responsiveness when a brake is released by providing a control means controlling the boost force at a value determined by the magnification factor for a car stop and the depression force of a brake pedal during a car stop. CONSTITUTION:A brake magnification device 2 normally controls the boost force so that the car deceleration is changed at the constant relationship with the depression force of a brake pedal. In this case, if a car stop, detection means 3 detects a car stop, a boost force control means 6 controls the boost force to a value determined by the magnification factor for a car stop set by a car stop magnification factor preset means 4 and the depression force of the brake pedal 1 detected by a depression force detection means 5. Accordingly, when the brake pedal 1 is depressed during a car stop, the boost force is prevented from being increased to a maximum in spite of little depression force, and the boost force can be suppressed to a value corresponding to the magnification factor for a car stop.
