PURPOSE:A water-proof cloth that includes cavities long from side to side with a specific length and fine pores of a specific diameter over all the coating film of polyurethane-modified aminoacid resin, thus satisfying simultaneously waterproofness and high moisture permeability. CONSTITUTION:A fabric base is coated with a resin solution which is prepared by adding less than 15% of water to a polyurethane-modified aminoacid resin, and the resin film is coagulated into a film of 15-50 micron thickness with sideway long cavities of 1-10 micron maximum length and fine pores of less than 1 micron maximal diameter distributing uniformly. Preferably, the coating film is treated with a silicone or fluorine resin to improve the waterproofness of the film. Said resin is prepared by copolymerization of a polyurethane resin and gamma-alkyl gultamate-N-carboxy anhydride. The resultant cloth has improved heat resistance, light resistance and touch.
