The invention relates to a single-cable monorail for the lifting and traction of the load, allowing loading and unloading over its entire circuit which may comprise bends and height differences, from an independent control station. It consists : of a carriage 1, of a track, of a cable which follows the same circuit as the track and each end of which is fixed to the independent drums 7 and 8; one cheek of the pulleys 3 and 4 is hexagonal. When the load is hooked on, the user, with a control, raises the lifting block 5 under the carriage 1, then the cable 9 pulls the carriage 1 to the unloading station. The load is lowered and the control is reversed for the return run. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for handling in agriculture. <IMAGE>
