PURPOSE:To enhance close adhesion between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer and to prevent the layer from peeling or floating up by anodizing the surface of the substrate made of Al with an electrolytic soln. using phosphoric acid. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the conductive substrate made of Al of the electrophotographic sensitive body is mirror finished and cleaned of grease and fat, and then, electrolyzed in the electrolyte contg. 10% phosphoric acid at a temp. of 30 deg.C in a constant voltage of 20V to anodize it. After sufficient water washing and natural drying, the photoconductive layer made of amorphous silicon is formed on the anodized surface of the Al substrate, thus permitting the photosensitive layer to be enhanced in adhesion to the substrate, prevented from floating up and peeling during the manufacture and use of it, and capable of forming an image superior in resolution and contrast. |
