PURPOSE:To measure a bovine leukemia virus antibody with high sensitivity and high accuracy markedly raised as compared with an agar gel precipitation reaction method, by using a carrier particle sensitized with bovine leukemia virus or the antigen component thereof as a reagent. CONSTITUTION:A carrier particle is sensitized with bovine leukemia virus or the antigen component thereof. As the carrier particle, ones for indirect aggluti nation reaction, for example, the red corpuscle of an animal such as a human being, a goat and a chicken etc., a microbial cell such as a serratia cell, a gelatine particle, polyethylene latex, kaolin and a carbon powder etc. are used. The carrier particle is sensitized with bovine leukemia virus or the antigen component thereof, for example, by a method using a coupling agent such as tannic acid, glutaraldehyde, bisazobenzine, tolylene dissocyanate, diflu orodinitrobenzene, carbodiimides, quinones and chromium chloride etc. or a physical adsorbing method.
