In order to reduce the risk of leakage from a line, e.g. of a lubrication system, the flow control devices are positioned as closely as possible to the consumer. The measuring devices available so far are of limited reliability. The previously described flow monitor permits checking of the flow of medium at any desired point of the line system, e.g. even directly at the bearing.
