PURPOSE:To reduce the height of a sail device upon passing under a bridge girder or receiving a strong wind, by mounting a lower sail on a sail post, and lowerably mounting an upper sail having a blade section at the upper end of the sail post. CONSTITUTION:A lower sail 2 is spread out on a sail post 1 erected on a deck. An upper sail mount 3 is fixed at the upper end of the sail post 1, and an upper sail 5 is lowerably supported through a bearing 4 to the upper sail mount 3. Lowering operation of the upper sail 5 is effected by a lowering device 9.
