PURPOSE:In the sheet processing line of a plant, to prevent a loss such as the suspension of the line, by surely conveying out upper sheets one by one to a convey-out space even if an upper and a lower sheets piled together are simultaneously conveyed in from a sheet stockpiling section. CONSTITUTION:When two piled sheets 1 are simultaneously supplied by a feeder, the lower sheet is conveyed to a side conveyance pinch roller 5 by a lower sheet conveyance roller 7 moved up through the detecting action of a first photosensor PH1, and the upper sheet is conveyed to a convey-out pinch roller 6 by an upper sheet conveyance roller 8, so that the piled sheets are separated from each other. The lower sheet 1 conveyed to the sideward conveyance pinch roller 5 is conveyed further by an outward conveyance unit 3. The upper sheet 1 conveyed to the convey-out pinch roller 6 is detected by a third photosensor PH3 so that the sheet is conveyed out to a convey-out space 4 by driving the pinch roller.
