Feed for forming individual flower bunches - has stepwise driven transport belt, partitions, insert stations and bloom detectors

The conveyor belt has partitions, work tables, and insert stations each with a detector giving a signal for each inserted bloom. A control unit regulates the transporter belt speed. In the sorting/handling feed (1) e.g. for arranging bunches of carnations, blooms are placed at random on worktables (2), with adjacent insert stations (3). Below the worktables runs an endless transporter belt (4) with partitions (5) to accommodate the blooms. Each insert station has a photocell detector (7) signalling the passing of each bloom to the control unit (6). At the left hand side of the belt is fitted a tying mechanism (10) and cutting machine for the flower stems. Tied bunches are finally placed on collecting belt (12).
