PURPOSE:To provide the titled spring having good responsiveness and large reversible shape memory effect by forming an alloy consisting of specifically composed Ni, Ti and Cu. CONSTITUTION:This ternary shape memory alloy spring is formed of the Ni, Ti, Cu alloy within the range determined by the quadrilateral having the four vertexes A, B, C and D; the vertex A of 42atom% Ni, 52% Ti and 6% Cu, the vertex B of 37% Ni, 52% Ti and 11% Cu, the vertex C of 34% Ni, 50% Ti and 16% Cu and the vertex D of 44% Ni, 50% Ti and 6% Cu in the ternary compsn. consisting of Ni, Ti and Cu. The increase in the shape memory quantity and the deflection quantity in operation is made possible by such alloy. The reversible shape memory effect is high and larger working capacity during low-temp. is retained. |
