PURPOSE:To remove easily a residual flux by incorporating specific components into a flux for brazing. CONSTITUTION:The flux is manufactured by pulverizing a mixture composed of K2SiF6 and AlF3 to grains of a prescribed size and mixing such pulverous powder with water to prepare the suspension. The suspension is stuck on the surface of an Al material by suitable means such as dipping, coating or spraying and is dried thoroughly in an atm. furnace kept in a prescribed temp. range, by which the moisture is removed. The brazing operation is thereafter executed in a furnace in which an inert gaseous atmosphere is maintained. |
