PURPOSE:To obtain the titled lens capable of a mass production and having an improved facial precision by using a specific photosetting monomer composition to the titled lens. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition is prepared from the photosetting monomers such as a monofunctional methacrylate and/or a polyfunctional ethyl ene glycol diacrylate and one or more kinds of the photopolymerization initiators selected from the groups comprised of benzophenone and its substd. derivative, benzion and its subtd. derivative, acetophenone and its substd. deriva tive, benzyl and oxide compds. in amount of 0.001-0.5pts.wt. said initiator per 100pts.wt. said monomer. The light transmittance of the monomer having the excellent properties of surface hardness, heat resistance and solvent resis tance is enhanced by adding the prescribed amount of the initiator to said monomer. Therefore, the titled lens capable of the mass production for a short period and having the high facial precision is prepared by irradiating the photosetting monomer composition in a mold with UV ray.
