PURPOSE:To obtain a slub yarn having excellent distributing and contrast of the thick and thin parts of the yarn, by carrying out the melt-spinning under a specific condition using a spinneret having a pair of nozzles composed of a hollow nozzle and a single nozzle connected to the hollow nozzle by a slit. CONSTITUTION:A hollow nozzle composed of plural slits 1a-1c forming a hollow part is connected through a slit 3 to a single nozzle having smaller nozzle area than the hollow nozzle. In the melt-spinning of a polymer, the flow rate of the polymer extruded through the single nozzle is made higher than that of the polymer extruded through the hollow nozzle. The take-up speed can be set to <2,500m/min, the unevenness of the denier can be made high, and the distribution of the thick and thin parts can be made comparable to that of the yarn spun at a take-up speed of >2,500m/min.
