PURPOSE:To improve flanging workability of Al alloy piping material for car air cons or the like by incorporating specific amounts of Mn and Mg to Al. CONSTITUTION:The piping material of Al alloy consists of, by weight, 0.8-1.7% Mn, 0.6-1.5% Mg, both as principal components, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, to which <=0.30% Si, <=0.70% Fe, <=0.25% Cu, <=0.10% Zn, <=0.05% Ti, etc., are incorporated, if necessary. This material has high hardness as well as excellent mechanical properties, and roughness of wrinkles which occur after flanging is minimized, so that this material has excellent properties required of piping material.
