PURPOSE:To enable coating enclosed area in linear units by providing a split processing section, dividing automatically a polygon while limiting the number of peaks, as well as repeating the split processing, as necessary. CONSTITUTION:The coordinates of peaks A, B, C,... of graphic 110 to be processed are retained in the memory 101. Upon receipt of the number of peaks from the peak counter 103, the split processing part 104, in order to apply coating, as necessary, divide the polygon and notify the results to the coating processor 102. The processor 102, in case the number of peaks is less than the prescribed number carry out coating of the plygon section containing the peak. That is, coating is applied following the scanning spot passing a point in the polygon and stops coating when reaching the opposing side of the polygon, then carry out coating of the adjacent scanning spot. By thus providing a processing section 104, split processing a polygon and repeating processing, as necessary, coating of an enclosed area in linear units, can be performed. |
