The invention relates to a box (1) having a bottom (2) and having sides (3, 5) which are connected to the bottom (2) via fold lines (4, 6), furthermore having connection flaps (15, 16) on the sides (3, 5), which connection flaps are pivotable about fold lines and can be connected to connection flaps of adjacent sides or to said sides themselves. The purpose of the invention is to design the folding box (1) in such a way that easy-to-handle and secure attachment and preferably detachment of the sides (3, 5) to be connected is possible without using glue. This is achieved in that button-type connection elements (19) serve for the preferably releasable connection, said connecting elements having an undercut head which can be engaged in a hole (17, 21) in the connection flap (15, 16) intended for the relevant connection or in the side (3) intended therefor. <IMAGE>
