PURPOSE:To provide a yarn winder which can generate no heat at a bearing portion, obtain the uniform surface temperature of a touch roller, keep the surface temperature low by the cooling effect of air jet and attain good quality of yarn with little difference in dyeing by rotatably supporting the touch roller by means of air bearing. CONSTITUTION:In an air bearing for a touch roller shown in the drawing, pure compressed air 19 (about 5kg/cm<2>G) is introduced into an axial air introduce hole 11 and a radial air introduce hole 12, jetted from air feed holes 16a, 16b. A touch roller 2 is rotatably supported radially and axially out of contact by the generated pressure. Air collected in the interior of the touch roller 2 is passed through an exhaust hole 17 to an axial gap between brackets 9a, 9b and a bush 14, and further discharged to the outside through an exchaust hole 18 of the brackets 9a, 9b. In this arrangement, the temperature of the center of the touch roller and the bearing portion is substantially the normal temperature. The end portions of a yarn spool are colled by a cooling hole of the touch roller. |
