<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to display the printing color of a part desired to be emphasized in printing information so as to differentiate the same from a usual one, by providing a plurality of printing buffers for inputting printing data to a thermal head and appropriately selecting inputs by said printing buffers. CONSTITUTION:A label 1 having two-color forming temp. characteristics is provided and a thermal head 10 equipped with a large number of heat generating elements 35 capable of printing the label 1 over the entire width thereof in the state contacted with said label 1 moving to one direction is provided and printing buffers 27, 28 for imparting printing data for controlling the supply of a current to the heat generating elements 35 of the thermal head 10 are provided. With respect to the printing by the heat generating element 55 of the thermal head 10 to the label 1, basic color development for general printing data is set to low temp. and different color development for specific printing data is set to high temp. and difference is applied to the supply times of the constant current to the heat generating element 35 when the printing buffers 27, 28 are selected. By this method, a current supply time is expanded only when printing data is provided to the printing buffer 28 for different color development.</p> |
