Oxobicyclononane derivatives, process for producing same and organoleptic uses thereof

Described are oxobicyclononane derivatives having the generic structure: <IMAGE> wherein R represents methyl or ethyl; wherein one of the dashed lines represents a carbon-carbon single bond or a carbon-carbon double bond; wherein N and P each represents 0 or 1 with the proviso that when N represents 1 the dashed line at the "2-3" position is a single bond with the sum of N and P being equal to 1 and uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma of perfume compositions, perfumed articles and colognes.
