<p>PURPOSE:To close the open ends of pipes (straw-shaped material) efficiently, by pressing a heating body to synthetic resin pipes constituting a knitted drainboard in its longer direction. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic resin pipes 1 are knitted two by two alternately with the knitting and weaving threads 2 to form the drainboard 3 for laver, the drainboard is supported on the base 4, the belt members 5 are brought into contact with the drainboard, and it is drived in the direction of the transportation. The drainboard 3 is introduced by the guide means 6, the heating faces 11 and 12 of the heating bodies 9 and 10 are heated by the nichrome wires 13 and 14, and pressed to the pipes 1 at the end parts in the longer direction so that the pipes are melted and sealed. The temperatures of the heating faces are adjusted by the regulating mechanisms 15 and 16 to proper temperatures. The closed end parts of the drainboard are sealed into round shapes, the drainboard is cut into a proper length to form every individual sheet of drainboard.</p> |
