PURPOSE:To make it possible to shorten a distance between photomagnetic recording layer and magnetic pole and to impress a vertical effective magnetic field to the photo-magnetic recording layer by providing three band-like holes in parallel at one side cartridge surface from its center in the direction of external circumference portion and by allowing an E-shaped magnetic pole tip part to fit in its cartridge and furthermore by providing a stopper to hold its tip part within a cartridge thickness. CONSTITUTION:The three zonal holes 11 are provided in parallel at a reverse side position corresponding to surface holes 5 for reading and writing from the center in the direction of external circumference portion and furthermore a width, interval and length of band are fitted to an E-shaped magnetic pole end surface form of a bias magnetic field generator 7. At its bias magnetic field generator 7, its magnetic pole is force-fitted in the three holes 11 and stopper 74 permits a holding fast by notching a part of yoke 73 magnetic pole. This configuration allows the tip part of magnetic core 71 to approach to a beam spot point P as far as K corresponding to a thickness of cartridge 1 for the photomagnetic disk.
