PURPOSE:To reduce noise in light load and prevent an engine from output reduction in high load by providing a 2-stage throttling throttle portion, limiting a nozzle needle lift amount in the light load range like idling and releasing this limitation in high load. CONSTITUTION:A cam shift 29 is rotated and a larger diameter portion of a cam 26 abuts against a stopper 22 in light load of an engine. Under such a condition, when a nozzle needle 4 is lifted slightly in fuel injection, the upper portion 17a of a pressure pin abuts against the lower end 22a of a stopper to limit the lift amount of the nozzle needle 4. On the other hand, this limitation is released in high load. Thus, injection rate is restrained low in light load, atomization is improved and injection time is elongated so that combustion is smoothed to reduce noise. Further, the engine in high load is prevented from output reduction. |
