PURPOSE:To stably operate the descent of a truck by reducing the frequency of an AC power source which supplies power to a linear induction motor when the truck falls on a descent. CONSTITUTION:The primary side winding 12 and a brush 13 are mounted on a truck 10, and the secondary conductor 14 is provided on a traveling road 11. A power supply trolley 15 is installed in parallel with the road 11 to supply an AC from an inverter power source 16 through the brush 13 to the winding 12. When the road 11 is horizontal or ascent, the output frequency of the power source 16 is commercial power frequency of 50 or 60Hz. When the truck is fallen on a descent, the output frequency of the power source 16 is reduced, for example, to 6Hz. Thus, suitable falling speed can be obtained. |
