PURPOSE:To drive a motor by parallel operation of low and high speed windings with two asynchronous inverters by controlling to hold the output frequency of the inverter connected with the low speed winding at that of (n) times of the inverter connected with the high speed winding. CONSTITUTION:In a speed controller of an AC elevator, the first inverter 20 for converting a DC into an AC is connected with high high speed winding 5 of an induction motor for driving the cage of an elevator. The second inverter 23 is connected similarly with the low speed winding 6 having the number of poles of (n) times of that of the high speed winding. The output frequency of the second inverter 23 is held (n) times of that of the first inverter 20. Thus, since the synchronizing speed of the high speed winding generated by the output of the first inverter and the synchronizing speed of the low speed winding generated by the output of the second inverter becomes equal, the motor can be driven by the parallel operation of high and low speed windings. |
