A pressure controller, preferably for controlling the automatic gear in a motor vehicle, has a housing (10) and a magnetic coil (12) therein, an armature (23) and a control piston (21) actuated by the armature (23), in which control piston (21) a connection channel (31) according to Figure 3 is present, the inductor (23) being borne by a rod (22) which is arranged coaxially with respect to the coil and is mounted axially and radially at its ends.
