<p>A coil body for a high-voltage winding has the form of a hollow cylinder with circumferential groove- like winding chambers 4 defined by partition walls 5. The chambers 4 contain windings 6 connected in series. For the winding wire 7 to pass from one chamber to another, an opening 8 is provided whose depth (t) is smaller than the height (h) of the partition wall. The wire passes through the opening from the region of the upper edge of the partition wall to the base area, with the wire supported by a supporting face 11, whose height (a) gradually decreases. The supporting face is formed by reducing the wall thickness towards the opening on either side thus providing an optimum passage of the winding wire 7 through the opening 8, even if winding is carried out mechanically. <IMAGE></p> |
