PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which contains a lamination structure free from easy exfoliation and has not easy attachment of dust, etc., by providing a glass member at the lamination face side of an oxide nonmagnetic material together with a nonmagnetic thin film highly affined with the glass member set at the lamination face side of a metallic magnetic material respectively. CONSTITUTION:An Fe-Al-Si ally magnetic material 1 is used together with a magnetic thin film 2 highly affined with glass formed on both sides of the material 1. While glass films 4 and 4' having the heat expansion coefficient approximately equal to that of the material 1 are formed on both sides of an nonmagnetic substrate 3 of an oxide such as Zn ferrite, etc. which is cut in an oblong. These blocks of the materials 1 and substrates 3 are laminated alternately and heated up to a temperature near the working point of the films 4 and 4' to be fixed together with pressure. Thus a composite block is obtained. This composite block is cut into pieces 61, 62,.... Then a winding 18 is applied to a composite block piece 16 containing block pieces 61 and 62. In such a way, a magnetic head 19 is obtained for video recording and reproducing purposes, for example.
