PURPOSE:To reduce unnecessary overhead and also to attain data transmission between hierarchies by providing a means designating a hierarchy to process a data in a frame to a transmission frame. CONSTITUTION:A transport control section 305 checks a transmission transport flag in a processing discrimination flag. When the flag is set, a head processing is applied and when not set, a dummy flag is generated and added to a frame. Whether or not a processing for next and succeeding hierarchies exists is checked and when the processing exists, the processing of the frame is given to a network control section 306, and when the next and succeeding hierarchies require no processing, the frame is erased and not given to the next and succeeding hierarchies. The network control section discriminates a transmission network flag so as to generate a network header or a dummy header, which is added to the tip of the frame and the control is taken over to the data link control section 307. |
