PURPOSE:To obtain an ingot in which inclusions are hardly contained by passing a molten metal through a filter having many holes of a specific hole diameter prior to pouring of the molten metal into a casting mold. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal of an NiTi alloy which consists of 50-60wt% Ni and consists of the balance Ti and generates thermoelastic type martensitic transformation or the NiTi alloy 2 in which part of the above-mentioned Ni or Ti is substd. with >=1 kinds of metals selected from the group consisting of Cu, Al, V, Zn, Fe, Cr and Co is put into the casting mold. The molten metal is passed through the filter 4 having many holes of <=3mm hole diameter prior to pouring into the casting mold. The NiTi alloy in which the inclusions are hardly contained is thus obtd. The fatigue resistant characteristic as well as hot and cold workability of the NiTi function alloy are thereby improved.
