An arrangement for furling sails has several bands which are located at a distance from one another, are fastened along the leech of the sail and carry an adhesive element at one end. A further allocated adhesive element is fastened to the sail and, in a preferred embodiment, has a leadthrough for the band end carrying the first adhesive element. To furl the sail, each band with the adhesive element is run in the form of a loop around the folded or rolled-up sail and the adhesive element located at the band end is pressed onto the band element fastened to the sail. To unfold the sail, the individual furling elements are ripped open one after the other, for example by the force exerted by the sheet pull.
