PURPOSE:To increase the recording capacity of a disk and to realize a high bit rate, by recording on the A-surface, and B-surface of a both-side disk, on which both A- and B-tracks are provided with two heads under spatially superposed conditions and performing information communication between both heads under time divided conditions. CONSTITUTION:A-track 2 and B-track 3 are respectively installed to the surface and back of a both side disk 1 and A-head 24 and B-head 26, both of which are constituted in one body, simultaneously receive tracking control in such a way that each of the heads can independently make the writing and reading out operations. When the A-head 24 is at a location 25 on the A-surface, the B-head 26 is at a location 27 on the B-surface which is spatially superposed with the location 25. The relation of the relative locations can be maintained always. The communication of information of the heads 24 and 26 with the outside is made in different time zones. Therefore, the recording capacity of the disk can be increased and a high bit rate can be realized. |
